1. Hotelito Perdido
Hotelito Perdido is the coziest place in in Rio Dulce! The friendly staff, the laid-back atmosphere and the idyllic garden make you feel right at home. I recommend you join the communal dinners they host every night. The food is delicious, and it is a great way to meet other travelers. This eco-friendly lodge is situated in the middle of the jungle, on the banks of the river. If you’re looking to disconnect, this is the perfect place to do it! You can rent kayaks to explore the area and visit Livingston. Its riverside dock is the perfect spot for sunbathing, swimming, and reading a good book. To get to the hotel, you take a boat from the main dock of the town of Rio Dulce, which costs 125 GTQ (16 USD) per person. Departure times are 9:30 am and 2:30 pm.

Boatique is nestled amidst mangroves in a privileged area of Rio Dulce. There is a tranquil soundtrack of nature: early in the morning, you can hear monkeys howling in the distance. It is a relatively new hotel, so its facilities are in excellent condition. A lot of attention is paid to minimizing its environmental impact. The staff are helpful and attentive to your needs. With its romantic atmosphere and decorations it is an ideal spot for couples.

It is a hotel and adventure park with lots of amenities, such as zip lines, hanging bridges, and floating stairs between trees. You can also go on a tour to a small river in the jungle, go kayaking, and soak in hot springs. Guatemalans, both young and old, love it for its activities. To get there, book a boat from the main dock in Rio Dulce. When you make your reservation, the staff will give you directions.

There are docks connecting the rooms with the pool, the restaurant and other common areas. The hotel warns guests not to feed the crocodiles that inhabit the area! At the reception, you can book a tour or rent a boat to explore the river.
